“The Greeting That Changed Eternity”
Day …1
One day, every heartbeat will become a footstep. Every breath will become a prayer. Every prayer will become a journey. And every true journey ends only at His Lotus Feet.”

Before you read another word, allow me to ask you a question.
Have you ever wondered…
Who will greet you in the morning after your last sunrise on Earth?
Will there be silence?
Will there be darkness?
Will there be fear?
Or…
Will there already be Someone waiting?
I never imagined that an ordinary greeting would become the doorway to eternity.
It began so simply.
“Good morning, Sir…”
The words were gentle.
Familiar.
Almost ordinary.

A young doctor stood before me, smiling with quiet compassion.
I wanted to reply.
Instead…
something unexpected happened.
The hospital room slowly faded—not into darkness, but into a light unlike anything my eyes had ever known.
I tried to open my eyes wider.
Then I realized…
I no longer needed them.
For the first time in countless births, I was not seeing with eyes.
I was seeing with the soul.
There was no pain.
No fear.
No anxiety.
No race against time.
Time itself had quietly stepped aside.

My body, which had faithfully carried me through life’s joys and sorrows, seemed to whisper one final message..
“My work is complete. Go where I could never follow.”
Yet I did not feel abandoned…..
Quite the opposite.
I felt…
held.
Not by hands.
But by compassion.
A compassion so ancient that it had silently accompanied me through every birth, every mistake, every prayer, every tear, every act of surrender.
Only now did I recognize it.

Then, from somewhere beyond sound, a promise echoed through my entire being.
“Na ca punar āvartate…”
“He does not return.”
My mind trembled.
“Can this truly be happening?”
My soul answered with a peace I had never known.
“If this is His call…
why should I fear?”

At that moment I understood something our Ācāryas have taught for centuries.
For one who has sought refuge at the Lotus Feet of Śrīman Nārāyaṇa through the compassionate mediation of Śrī Mahālakṣmī, death is not an ending.
It is not defeat.
It is not darkness…
It is the Lord keeping His promise.
Perhaps…
this is why JagathAcharyar Bhagavad Rāmānuja did not write the Vaikuṇṭha Gadyam merely with scholarship.
He wrote it with longing.

With tears.
With certainty that beyond this fragile world lies our eternal Home.
As I gathered the courage to take what seemed like my very first step…
a radiant flame appeared before me.
It was alive.
It was conscious.
And…
it was waiting for me……

How can fire welcome without burning?
Tomorrow, we shall stand before Archis, the first luminous gateway on the Path of Light, where even the element we fear becomes a loving servant of the Lord.
Until then, carry this thought in your heart:
“Heaven may reward good deeds. But Vaikuṇṭha welcomes surrendered souls.”
To be continued tomorrow……
Watch this space …
Today’s Divine Promise…..
“The Lord never abandons a soul that turns toward Him.”
Tomorrow’s Mystery…..
If the Flame did not burn…
why was it waiting?
